Window tint in Fort Collins, Colorado
For the drive down Harmony with the sun in your eyes, and the long days parked in open lots at CSU. Carbon and ceramic film, legal shades, lifetime warranty.
What campus parking does to an interior
Fort Collins has more open-lot parking than shade, and the vehicles that suffer most are the ones that sit all day: student cars around CSU, commuter vehicles in the lots off Harmony and Prospect, anything parked at a trailhead from morning until evening. Eight hours a day in direct sun, five days a week, adds up faster than people expect — and interior fading is permanent in a way that paint damage is not.
The glare complaint here is specific. Drivers spend a good part of the day pointed west at the foothills, and the low afternoon sun coming down Harmony and Drake arrives through the side windows rather than the windshield. That is the glass film actually covers.
Fort Collins also has a lot of well-kept older vehicles, and with them a lot of failed twenty-year-old film — the purple, bubbling kind. Stripping that off and cleaning the adhesive out of the defroster lines properly is a bigger part of the job than most people assume, and it is worth knowing before you compare quotes.
We tint for every Fort Collins neighborhood, including Old Town, Midtown, Harmony, Timberline, Fossil Creek, Campus West and the Front Range Village area, plus ZIP codes 80521–80528.
Timing matters more here than in most towns. Film needs three to five days to cure, and it looks hazy or slightly cloudy while it does — normal, and it clears on its own. Around CSU that means booking before the semester starts rather than the week you are moving in, and for anyone with a removal on top, allowing the extra shop time so we are not rushing adhesive off a rear defroster grid.
Getting it done from Fort Collins
It is about 20 minutes down from Fort Collins, and almost everyone drops off rather than waits, because a full vehicle takes three hours or more. Book a morning slot, leave it with us, and it is ready the same afternoon. If your vehicle has old film to strip first, tell us when you book so we can allow the extra time.
Colorado allows 27% on the front side windows and 70% on the windshield, the same in Fort Collins as everywhere else in the state — read the full breakdown of the tint law.
What window tint costs in Fort Collins
Straight pricing, confirmed before we touch your vehicle. Both films block 99% of UV and carry a manufacturer warranty against fading, bubbling, and discoloration — the difference is heat rejection.
Full-vehicle tint starts at $329 for sedans and trucks and $379 for SUVs, crossovers and vans, with add-ons for a windshield brow and hydrophobic glass treatment. Compare what window tint costs by vehicle and film for the complete price list.
Pricing valid for most vehicles, subject to change based on vehicle. Final shade selection must follow Colorado tint law — we walk every Fort Collins customer through the legal limits before we start.

Window Tint FAQ
Will tint cut the afternoon glare coming down Harmony Rd?
Yes, and it is the main reason a lot of Fort Collins drivers book. Low sun off the foothills comes in through the side glass, where a sun visor does nothing. Any film reduces that glare, though ceramic is the one that also cuts the heat you feel through the window on the drive.
My old tint has turned purple and is bubbling — can that be fixed?
Yes, and it is common on older Fort Collins vehicles. The failed film comes off, the adhesive is cleaned off the glass and out of the rear defroster grid, and fresh film goes onto properly prepped glass. Removal takes real time, so it is quoted as part of the job rather than hidden in it.
How long before my tint looks completely clear?
Three to five days for most vehicles, longer if the weather is cold. You may see haze, small water pockets or a slight cloudiness while the film cures. Leave the windows up during that window and clean with a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner afterwards.
