Will restoration help on unlit roads out toward Horsetooth?
That is where you notice it most. In town there is enough ambient light to mask a hazed lens, but on an unlit road you are relying entirely on your own beam. Oxidation scatters that light sideways instead of down the road, so you lose distance exactly where you need it.
I tried a headlight kit from the auto parts store and it came back — why?
Those kits polish away the oxidized layer but leave the plastic bare, and bare polycarbonate oxidizes again quickly in Colorado sun. Cutting the damage back is only half the job; sealing the lens against UV afterwards is what decides how long the result lasts.
Why does the vehicle need to sit after the work is done?
